DOLA — Columbus Grove girls cagers took command with a 16-7 first period and never looked back in pounding Hardin Northern 65-24 Tuesday night in Dola.

Jade Clement paced the Lady Bulldogs (1-1) with 17 markers (3 treys) and Lynea Diller added 13. Kyrah Yinger dished four assists. They finished 23-of-59 shooting (6-of-14 long range) for 39 percent and 13-of-26 at the line (50%). They concluded with 29 boards (Julia Wynn had 8) and 20 errors and will host Continental 6 p.m. Tuesday.

H. Wilson netted 11 for the Lady Polar Bears (1-1). They canned 10-of-33 from the field, missing all four triple tries, for 30 percent and 4-of-10 freebies (40%).

Grove won the junior varsity game 40-14.
