The following individuals appeared Wednesday before Judge Charles Steele in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court: 
Gary E. Coates, 28, Ohio City, changed his plea to guilty to three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, all three counts are felonies of the third degree.
