At 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, Delphos Police were called to the 900 block of Hudson Street in reference to a burglary complaint at a residence in that area.

Upon officers’ arrival, the complainant stated someone had gained entry into the residence by going through a kitchen window. The complainant stated that the subject had taken jewelry from inside the residence.

Detectives were called and they processed the scene and collected evidence.

At 6:29 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to the 900 block of Erie Street in reference to a burglary complaint at a residence in that area.

Upon officers’ arrival, the victim stated someone had gained entry into the residence by breaking out a window in the attached garage. The victim stated that the subject had taken some jewelry from inside the residence.

Detectives were called and they processed the scene and collected evidence.

At 6:28 p.m. Wednesday, while on patrol in the area of Garfield Park, Delphos officers came into contact with Melony Sunday, 19, of Delphos, at which time she was taken into custody on a warrant issued out of Van Wert Municipal Court on a bond revocation from a prior offense.

As officers approached Sunday, they observed her moving away from officers and attempting to hide an item. Upon searching Sunday and her belongings, officers found she was in possession of a powdery substance that was later tested and found to be of an illegal substance that Sunday later stated was heroin.

Sunday was turned over to deputies from the Van Wert Sheriff’s Department on the warrant and charges will be filed on Sunday for felony possession of a controlled substance.

At 5:41 p.m. Wednesday, while on routine patrol, police came into contact with Stephanie Knittle,46, of Van Wert, at which time it was found that Knittle was operating a motor vehicle while having her driving privileges suspended.

Knittle was cited into Lima Municipal Court on the charge.

At 4:06 p.m. Sunday, Delphos Police were called to a business in the 700 block of Gressel Drive in reference to a theft complaint at a business in that area.

Upon officers’ arrival, the victim stated that someone had gained entry into a parked semi truck at that location and had taken items from inside
