|Lady Beavers rally past Quakers|

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Bluffton University women's soccer team hit the road to Richmond, Ind., on Saturday, looking for a conference battle with the Earlham College Quakers. Despite an early deficit, the Beavers came back and scored a 2-1 win, earning their first victory in HCAC play this season (1-2). The Beavers are now 3-6 on the season. Earlham fell to 1-7-2 and 0-2-1 in conference play.
Quaker freshman midfielder Abigail McCullough gave the home team an early lead in the 12th minute.
Less than five minutes into the second half, however, BU freshman forward Kristen Tropf tied the match up at one with her team-best fifth goal of the season.
Then, in the 75th minute, senior forward Aimee Whitmer scored her fourth of the season, making the score 2-1 in favor of the visitors.
Bluffton senior keeper Maggie Armstrong collected four saves.
The Bluffton women will return home to the Sears Complex on Tuesday as Anderson University makes the trip to Ohio (4 p.m.).
