COLDWATER — The St. John's boys cross country team finished 16th out of 23 teams at the Coldwater Lions Invitational Thursday. Curtis Pohlman was the top placer with a time of 18:12, good for 39th.

For the Lady Jays, Megan Joseph was 15th (20:16).

"We ran about where I expected us to. This was our third race in six, so we were getting tired," Jays' coach Steve Hellman noted. "We will give them some time off this weekend to get them fresh for our MAC meet next Thursday back in Coldwater. This is a very competitive meet due to the schools there, which includes all the MAC schools and some of the best other area schools. This meet gives us a chance to see where we stand in the league a week before the MAC meet. In the past, our times improve from tonight to the league meet next week, so that will be our goal."
