PERRY TOWNSHIP — Spencerville was taken to the limits by Perry Friday night at Moeller Memorial Stadium in Spencerville but the Bearcats received a 2-yard touchdown run by Colton Miller in the fourth period to survive 19-13 to commence the 2013 gridiron campaign.

Miller ran 26 times for 163 yards and three scores: Hunter Hardesty added 15 carries for 81 yards as the Bearcats ran for 307 yards (327 total offense).

Spencerville opens Northwest Conference action Friday at Ada.
