In 2013, our son-in-law presented us with an expensive all-weather, hand-stitched U.S. flag just before he was deployed to Afghanistan. We flew the flag faithfully and brought it in at nightfall while he was on tour.

On June 27, we installed a spotlight on the porch so it could fly day and night. In the early morning hours of July 5, our flag disappeared. I ask only that you would please return the flag to the standard that is still on the porch. No questions will be asked.

The U.S. flag stands for loyalty and beliefs, honor to self, service to country, respect for others and freedom for everyone. I pray that you wanted this flag for yourself. I will also pray that if some day you ever serve under this flag, you come home safely as did my son-in-law.
