DELPHOS — Two white males are sought in the home invasion-style robbery reported to Delphos Police late Wednesay night.
According to the police report, two white males in their mid- to late 20s — one approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall with a stocky, muscular build, about 200-plus pounds with noticeable tatooos and very short, stubbly hair; and the other approximately 6-plus-feet tall weighing approximately 150 pounds — entered a property in the 400 block of South Canal Street and ransacked two vehicles. After doing this, the perpetrators entered the garage that had been had been converted to a “living area” and was being used as such at the time of the incident.
Upon entering the garage, the two males confronted three individuals who were inside watching TV, including a 16-year-old male, an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old female, and demanded money, according to the victims’ reports.
The victims told officers they initially believed the incident was a prank and didn’t comply with the demands. This caused one of the perpetrators to become violent and assault the 18-year-old male. His injuries required medical attention.
After the assault, the two perpetrators stole numerous items from inside the garage and then fled the scene on foot carrying all the stolen property from the vehicles and the garage.
The perpetrators did not brandish or display weapons during the incident.
