DEFIANCE — The Defiance College football team has been tabbed to finish fourth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in the upcoming season, according to a preseason poll released by OhioCollegeFootball.com. DC has finished among the league’s top four teams in five of the last six seasons.
The site selected the Yellow Jackets to finish fourth in the 9-team league, slotting Defiance directly behind Mount St. Joseph, Franklin and Rose-Hulman and in front of Manchester, Hanover and Anderson. HCAC newcomer Earlham was picked to finish eighth, while Bluffton was penciled in to round out the league standings in ninth place.
