Change of plea Mack A Johnson Jr. 18, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to a charge of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. He then requested and was granted Treatment in Lieu of Conviction and his case was stayed for completion of the treatment program.
Sentencing Christopher Day, 40, Van Wert, was sentenced on a charge of possession of cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree. He received 3 years community control, 90 days Electronic House Arrest, additional 30 days jail, 100 hours community service, substance abuse assessment and treatment, 2 years intensive probation, driver’s license suspended 6 months, ordered to pay court costs and partial appointed counsel fees. A six-month prison term was deferred pending completion of community control
Probation violations Kyle Barnes, 26, Van Wert, appeared for a probation violation for failing to complete the WORTH Center program and for not paying court costs. He was sentenced to prison for 9 months with credit for 111 days already served.
