At 12:40 p.m. on Friday Delphos Police investigated a collision where the driver of one vehicle exited a parking lot and entered a roadway where they were struck by a second vehicle backing up in traffic.
Austin Vogt, 17, of Spencerville, was traveling westbound across St. John’s parking lot and then entered East First Street. Larry Carder, 48, of Delphos, was also heading westbound on East First when he stopped his vehicle and began backing up, failing to see Vogt and striking his vehicle’s center front with his center rear.
There were no injuries and minor damage to both vehicles. Carder was cited for improper backing.
