Pansy M. Gales, 85, of Spencerville, passed away at 10:05 p.m. on Saturday at her residence with her loving family at her side.

She was born June 23, 1927 in Russell County, Va. to Dewey S. and Ruby Allen Sykes Owens who preceded her in death. On April 27, 1957 she married LaVerne S. Gales, who passed away Dec. 23, 2004.

Funeral services will be a 11 a.m. Friday in the Thomas Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor James Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery.

Friends may call between 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the Order of Eastern Star will conduct services a 8 p.m. Thursday.
