Join the Lima Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 for Bells, Brass and Bows in the Crouse Performance Hall, Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center.
The Lima Symphony Chorus will join the orchestra for carols, timeless classics and sentimental holiday favorites, including a special reading of the Night Before Christmas.
For the first time in several seasons, vocal soloist Kirsten Osbun-Manley and the chorus will lend their voices to exalted selections from Handel’s glorious Messiah, concluding with the much-loved Hallelujah.
Osbun-Manley is resident artist in music, lecturer in music and co-director of the musical theatre program at Ohio Northern University, where she teaches voice and diction for singers and directs the Opera Workshop program.
She is an active adjudicator for many operatic, vocal and choral competitions throughout the state and trained at Bowling Green State University, where she received a bachelor of music in vocal performance. She pursued graduate studies at Indiana University and has participated in master classes with Cynthia Hoffmann, Martina Arroyo, William Warfield and Leonard Bernstein.
