DELPHOS — It was their turn. Delphos residents Bob and Grace Schulte are heading up the United Way of Greater Lima 2012 campaign for a simple reason. “Bev Preuter, who had been the head of it for a number of years, wanted to retire about five years ago but she wouldn’t until she had five years’ worth of chairpersons to take over. We were supposed to do it the second year but we switched with someone else, so the fifth year — this year — is our turn,” Bob Schulte explained. The Schultes’ goal for this year — with the campaign theme of “Because of you ... lives are changed” — is simple in 2012.
