I must issue an apology.

Two weeks ago, I called Guest Picker Dale Metzger a fink for having the best week picking in these games.

He corrected me and told me I should have called him a fick — as in, Luke Fickel, his now all-time favorite football coach and soon to be the new Cincinnati Bengals’ coach!!!

Ahem …. back to the present.

Regular Picker Michael Wiltsie led the pack at 9-3 a week ago — 3-3 in the college games and 6-0 in the pros.

I and Guest Picker Dave Boninsegna were next at 8-4 (3-3 and 5-1), while regular John Parent was 7-5 (3-3/4-2) and second GP Larry Heiing went 6-5 (3-3/3-2).

Record-wise: me, 115-78 (55-36/60-42); John, 114-78 (58-32/56-46); Michael, 111-79-1 (54-37/57-42-1); and the GPs are 141-92 (76-40/65-52).

Charlie Warnimont fills the GP role this time around.

COLLEGE: Washington vs. Penn State; Wisconsin vs. Miami - The U; Central Florida vs. Auburn; Notre Dame vs. LSU; Georgia vs. Oklahoma; Alabama vs. Clemson.

NFL: (Some of these are for the wrong reasons but they might be the best of the week): Green Bay at Detroit; Oakland at LA Chargers; Carolina at Atlanta; Jacksonville at Tennessee; Buffalo at Miami; Houston at Indianapolis.
