DELPHOS — Linda D. Stemen, 75, of Delphos, passed away on Wednesday at her daughter’s residence.

She was born Sept. 5, 1942, in Lima to George and Betty (Buffenbarger) Sroufe, who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Dennis A. Stemen on March 21, 1959; he preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 2000.

She is survived by three sons, Dan (Lisa) Stemen of Van Wert, Tony (Amy) Stemen of Mt. Vernon and Zach (Rebekah) Stemen of Delphos; four daughters, Peggy (Dave) Grothause of Lima, Mary Ann (Nate) Swartz of Smyrna, Tennessee, Amy (Brad) Young of Ft. Wayne and Stacy (Jason) Klint of Delphos; two brothers, Gary (Louise) Sroufe of Delphos and Paul “Nub” (Kay) Sroufe of Westerville; three sisters, Marilyn (Ed) Holdgreve of Delphos, Kathy (Jim) Watson of Plymouth, Michigan, and Carol Spring of Delphos; 25 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Stober.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of service at Trinity United Methodist Church. Pastor Rich Rakay, Tony Stemen and Derek Stemen will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
