PAULDING — Gertrude (Nagel) Haunhorst, 97, of Paulding passed away peacefully Sunday at The Gardens in Paulding.

She was born Jan. 30, 1920, to Arnold and Mary (Ruen) Nagel in Delphos. On Sept. 30, 1939, she was united in marriage to Donald “Bud” Haunhorst, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Norma Jean “Jeannie” Schweller (husband Donald, deceased) of Paulding; three grandchildren, Todd (Kristie) Schweller, Lisa Clinton, and Amy (David) Bleke, all of Paulding; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Marguerite Rahrig of Van Wert; and two brothers, Jerald “Patty” (Mary) Nagel of Oklahoma, and James Falke of Springfield.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Arnold “Dutch” (Alice) Nagel, Edward “Buddy” (Donna) Nagel, Eugene (Nanette) Nagel and Raymond (Nancy) Falke; sister, Ruth (Roger) Bigelow; and infant triplets, Lawrence, August and Mary Falke.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck, Father Douglas Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.
