DELPHOS — On Dec. 21, officers met with a male and his son in the 500 block of South Canal Street after receiving a call that the son was being unruly. Officers spoke with both the juvenile and his father and it was decided that no charges would be filed.

On Dec. 21, officers spoke with a female in the 1100 block of Marsh Avenue in reference to a fraud report. The female told officers that her credit card account was hacked into and the credit card was used to make a purchase in New York. The card was canceled and the sale was not completed.

On Dec. 21, officers were sent to the 1100 block of North Main Street to investigate a possible menacing incident. Officers met with a female at that location and found that she had received a Snapchat video in which the male sender was suggesting causing her bodily harm. The female was advised of the victim filing procedures for Allen County.

On Dec. 21, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North Canal Street to take a theft report. Officers met with a female at her residence and she advised them that an item was missing from her son’s room. The female gave officers the name of an acquaintance that was at her residence prior to the item being taken.

On Dec. 22, officers came into contact with an intoxicated female after receiving a complaint of her being belligerent at a residence in the 700 block of West Second Street. While speaking with the female, she made statements of wishing to harm herself. Delphos EMS was contacted and the female was transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation and treatment.

On Dec. 22, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Harmon Street to investigate a domestic violence complaint. Officers arrived and met with a male and a juvenile female. Officers spoke with each separately and determined that the male had assaulted his sister after an argument between the two. The male, 18-year-old Brice Metzger of Delphos, was taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Jail. He will be facing the charge of domestic violence in Lima Municipal Court.

On Dec. 22, officers met with a male in the 1400 block of East Fifth Street after receiving a report of a theft. Officers spoke with the male and found that a female resident in the assisted living center had reported money missing from her room. The incident remains under investigation.

On Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of West Clime Street in reference to a domestic dispute. Officers arrived and spoke with a female, who stated that her husband had left prior to officers’ arrival. She stated that there was no physical violence and did not wish to pursue charges.

On Sunday, officers were called to a residence in the 600 block of West Clime Street in regards to a domestic violence complaint. Officers arrived and met with a male and female at the residence. The female told officers that her husband, who was highly intoxicated, was causing a disturbance inside the residence and behaving in a threatening manner. The male, 56-year-old Garry Cooper of Delphos, was taken into custody and transported to the Van Wert County Jail. He will appear in Van Wert County Municipal Court to face a fourth-degree misdemeanor charge of domestic violence.

On Monday, officers were sent to the 200 block of North Jefferson Street to investigate a burglary incident. Officers met with the resident and found that her apartment door was forced open and items taken from inside. Officers were given the name of a family member who was reported to have been responsible for the break-in. The incident remains under investigation.

On Tuesday, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Main Street to speak with a business owner. The owner told officers that a female, whom he had employed, was staying overnight in the business while it was closed without his permission. The business owner wished to have the female criminally trespassed from his business.
