DELPHOS — A Van Wert man is in critical condition in the ICU at St. Rita’s Medical Center following a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred Thursday evening on U.S. 30 at Buettner Road.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the call of an injury rollover crash with entrapment at 6:16 p.m.

A Dodge Caravan driven by Nathan A. Dunn, 34, of Van Wert was traveling east on US 30 when his vehicle traveled through the median, crossed both westbound lanes of US 30, struck the right-of-way fence, then a large ditch and overturned. Dunn and his passenger, Elmeco Crisp, 40, of Van Wert received incapacitating injuries. Dunn was trapped in the vehicle and was freed by Delphos Fire and Rescue. Both occupants were transported to St. Rita’s Medical Center. Crisp is not listed as a patient at the hospital.

Dunn was cited for failure to maintain control, driving under suspension and not wearing a seat belt.

Crisp was cited for not wearing a seat belt.
