DELPHOS — The Delphos Senior Citizens Center has announced its March activities.

March 14 is a combination Meadows of Delphos Day and the “Good To Know…Lunch & Go” program. The Meadows of Delphos will provide lunch and talk about their new health care facility. Call by March 9 to RSVP for lunch.

If you pre-ordered Easter candy, be sure to pick it up by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28. Thank you for supporting Delphos Senior Citizens! Also, if you eat candy - exercise is every morning, Monday through Friday, at 10 a.m. at the center.

On March 29, a Spring Fling dance will be held at the center from 1-3 p.m. with the Melvin Mullins Band. There is no charge to attend the dance. If you are over 60 years of age and have never been to our meal site, you can also enjoy a free lunch on March 29. Just give us a call by 1 p.m. on Wednesday to let us know you would like to come for lunch. Lunches are catered by the Delphos Eagles and cost $4. If you need transportation, let us know and we will pick you up.

March 30 - we are closed for staff training.

Special Bingo dates in March are March 6 - Delphos Hearing Aid Center; March 15 - HCF Management; March 19 - Community Health Professionals; March 27 - Elmcroft. Penny bingo is played after lunch beginning at noon on most days.

Blood pressure checks will be offered beginning at noon on March 7 by Vancrest, and March 13 and 27 by the Delphos Fire Department. Community Health Professionals will check blood pressure and glucose on March 26 beginning at 11 am. Community Health Professionals also offers a foot care clinic on the second Tuesday of every month at the Center. The next one will be March 13 and the cost is $15.

Our Matter of Balance program to prevent falls will be held during the month of April. Call the Center at 419-692-1331 for more information.

If you would like to be on our lawn-mowing list, call the center. The Chore Department can also trim bushes and shrubs, clean gutters, wash windows and more - just ask us.

Delphos Senior Citizens has a Memorial Fund. You can create a lasting gift by donating to Delphos Senior Citizens in your will or trust.

There is no membership at Delphos Senior Citizens - anyone 60 years of age and older is welcome to use the center and services. There is no charge for most services but donations are accepted. To receive our newsletter, call us at 419-692-1331.
