  • SPENCERVILLE — Mayor P.J. Johnson told council members Monday night that the $70,000 collaboration — a $50,000 grant with a $20,000 match — to clean up the canal corridor is in its preliminary stages with a comprehensive marketing plan to attract people and businesses in the works.

    "Poggemeyer Design Group (PDG) is donating their expertise and Fort Loramie has volunteered to take the lead with the project," he said.

     

     
  • Karl ‘Dean’ Hirn
    SPENCERVILLE — Karl “Dean” Hirn, 69, of Perry Township, Lima, died at 4:03 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, in St. Rita’s Medical Center with his family at his side, following an extended illness.
