Putnam libraries set holiday programs
The Putnam County District Library and its branches have announced the following upcoming events:
Christmas Plants Program
The Putnam County District Library Ottoville-Monterey Twp. Location will have “Caring of Live Christmas Plants” at 6 p.m. on Nov. 30 and at 1 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Kalida library location.
This program is presented by Beining Nursery & Landscaping. Learn how to care for your live Christmas tree, poinsettia, Christmas cactus and more.
Christmas With Kids
The Putnam County District Library Leipsic Edwards-Gamper Memorial Location will have “Christmas With Kids” on Tues. Dec. 1 at 6:00 p.m. Mona Lisa Hoffman from the OSU Extension Office will present low cost ideas on holiday foods that children can help prepare. Also you will get to build a graham cracker gingerbread house together and take home a recipe booklet with ideas for different holidays. Space and supplies are limited and registration is required. An adult must be present with children.

Baked Perfections with Alex
The Putnam County District Library Fort Jennings Location presents “Baked Perfections with Alex” at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 10.
Join Alex Benavidez for an hour and a half demonstration, samples and hands on learning.
Registration and pre-payment of $3 for the gingerbread house kit is required. Call the Fort Jennings library at 419-286-2351 to register.
