Putnam County holding coat drive

Children’s clean, gently used or new winter coats and snowsuits size newborn to youth size 12 are being collected for Putnam County families in need.
Collection will take place at the following locations:
— Oct. 24 at the YMCA’s Family Fall Fest; and
— Oct. 19-30 at all Putnam County public and parochial elementary schools, Putnam County Library Main Branch, Ottawa, and Kohls Market of Ottawa.
Donations will also be accepted to purchase coats. Checks are payable to Putnam County ESC. Mail them to Putnam County ESC, Attn: Coats for Children, 124 Putnam Parkway, Ottawa, OH  45875.
The Putnam County Early Childhood Collaborative sponsors the Coats for Children project with support from Ottawa Kiwanis and Ottawa Home Cleaners.
The Putnam County Thrift Store will distribute coats to Putnam County families in need starting Nov. 2.
