VFW plans turkey supper

Ladies Auxiliary to Delphos VFW Post 3035 finalized plans at their September meeting to hold their annual Turkey Supper at 4 p.m. Nov. 14 at post headquarters.
A carry-in dinner was held prior to the September meeting, with guests from other area VFW auxiliaries present, and District President Bert Gehl holding inspection for the Delphos unit.
In other business, it was announced:
• A flu shot clinic will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the local post;
• A trip is planned on Oct. 18 to the Dayton VA Hospital. Those wishing to contribute new items of T-shirts, socks, large-size sweats and teddy bears can drop them off at the canteen prior to the trip; and
•  A Halloween party for the children and grandchildren of post members will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 29.
The charter was draped in memory of Leona Fisher who died July 13 and Rita Will who died on Aug. 2.
The next auxiliary meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15.
