Lancer boys win own invitational

VAN WERT — Lincolnview hosted the 7-team Lancer Invitational boys golf outing on Thursday morning at Hickory Sticks Golf Club.
The Lancers emerged victorious after posting a solid team score of 329. Lincolnview was led by Pierce Wolters with a score of 77, Taylor Hoehn carded a 79, Anthony Simpson’s 85 and Jeremy Morris rounded out the scoring with an 88.
St. Henry finished second with a team score of 337, led by medalist Doug Bruns’s score of 75.
Other team scores were as follows: Ottoville 346, Ft. Jennings 373, Antwerp 386, Miller City 387 and Crestview 409.
Fort Jennings hosts Parkway (Delphos Country Club) this morning, while Ottoville hosts Kalida and Wayne Trace (DCC) 4 p.m. Monday.
Lincolnview returns to action at Hickory Sticks Golf Club Monday afternoon (4 p.m.) in a non-league dual versus Hicksville.
