Red Cross sets golf outing

The annual American Red Cross Allen County Chapter Golf Classic is slated for Aug. 3 at Shawnee Country Club. It also features a chance to win $1 million.
The benefit starts with a Continental breakfast and the tournament — a double shotgun, 4-person scramble — starts at 8:30 a.m. After lunch, the second portion starts at 2 p.m. Dinner, as well as an awards party, is immediately after the conclusion of the afternoon session.
Team ($400) and hole sponsorships (up to $2,250) are still available and the deadline is Thursday.
The money raised by this event supports the education/service programs of the ARC in Allen County.
