Spencerville run still open

The Spencerville “Canal Stop” 4-Mile Run (31st annual run and 1-mile Fun Run) is part of the village’s Summerfest this weekend, along with a car show, parade, amusements, food and the spectacular fireworks display at dark on Saturday.
Registration runs from 7:30-8:45 a,m, at Spencer Township Park (Wisher Drive). The Fun Run begins at 8:30.
Registration fees (contact Brian McMichael @ (419) 647-6433 or via e-mail @ bcmspen@hotmail.com or download an entry form @ www.geocities.com/canalstop4mile) include ribbons and refreshments. Trophies and gift certificates to the first three males and females, with awards to the first 3 finishers in each age group (and to the top 30% of larger age groups), as well as to the first male and female finishers from Spencerville (must be student, resident or alumni).
Age groups (male and female) are: 0-14, 15-16, 17-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69 and 70-plus. Walkers are welcome.
