Lavern and Jane Weitzel, Fort Recovery, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Mindy Kay Weitzel, to Steven Trevor Knippen, son of Ronald and Sheree Knippen, Fort Jennings. The couple will exchange vows on May 9 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. She is also a 2003 graduate of Sinclair Community College and 2004 graduate of Wright State University, where she majored in business and accounting, respectively. She is a CPA at Flagel, Huber, Flagel & Co., CPA’s in Dayton.
Her fiance is a 1997 graduate of Fort Jennings High School and a 2001 graduate of Bowling Green State University, where he majored in political science. He is a 2004 graduate of Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He is an assistant prosecuting attorney for Montgomery County.
