Gerald W. ‘Butch’ Teman

Gerald W. “Butch” Teman, 65, of Delphos, died at 6:05 p.m. Monday at his residence.
He was born July 7, 1943, in Marble Town, to Cleo Benjamin and Esther (Best) Teman, who preceded him in death.
On July 13, 1963, he married Charlene S. Swartz, who survives in Delphos.
Other survivors include sons Todd (Diane) and Tony (Tammy) of Delphos; daughter Tammy (Joe) Recker of Lima; sisters Billie “Skip” (Chuck) Bardo and Susie Teman of Delphos; and grandchildren Abbey and Aryn Recker, Brooke, Josh and Madyson Teman and Amanda, A.J. and Seth Teman.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Paul, Terry “Skeeter” and Danny Teman; and grandson Caleb Recker.
Mr. Teman worked for Kill Brothers for 22 years and then at General Dynamics for 12 years and Interdyne Trans Vac, retiring in 2008. He was owner and operator of Teman and Sons Tree Trimming, which he operated with his sons. He was a member of First Assembly of God and the Delphos Bass Club with his sons, thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most importantly he loved his wife, children, grandchildren and was a very unselfish and giving man.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at First Assembly of God in Delphos, the Rev. Dan Eaton and Rev. James Menke officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to donor’s choice.

    I`m sorry to hear the lost of your love one. I knew Butch very will in Delphos,. I just saw his name on the internet. He was very nice i will miss him. I knew Butch for most of my life. My pray and thoughts are with you and the family. God speed god bless you all.
