The Wassenberg Art Center, Van Wert, has announced the winners of its 2008 Members Show and Sale.  Awards were presented during the show’s opening reception on Nov. 16.
The winners are:  Nancy Longmate of Fort Wayne, – Douglas Koch Memorial Award; Pat Pancake of Van Wert – Van Wert County Foundation Award; Kelly Meska of Montpelier, Ind., – Director’s Award; Merv Russell of Toledo – Mary McVay Memorial Award; Nancy Longmate – Barley Charles Award for best animal art.
There were four merit awards presented to Dave Schumm of Bryan; Ann Dysinger of Grover Hill; Karen Flesch of Decatur, Indiana; and Fran Neiswander of Convoy.
Honorable mention went to Pat Rayman of Ohio City; Merv Russell, Nina Carrico of Bryan, Doug Eblen of Celina, Linda Yenser of Defiance, Anna Talei Fisher of Wapakoneta, and Kelly Meska.
The exhibit will be displayed from now through Dec. 12. Exhibit hours are 1-5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays).
