Groups form for strategic plan for city schools

DELPHOS — More than 50 people gathered at Jefferson Middle School auditorium Monday evening to put in motion the infrastructure to form a comprehensive strategic plan for Delphos City Schools.
Six teams were formed including: academic, co-curricular, finance, community relations, facilities and technology.
Each group will meet several times prior to a Jan. 24 all-committee meeting to form a vision, identify core values, prepare a mission statement, give parameters for the team, do an internal/external analysis, set goals and action plans to reach those goals.
Superintendent Jeff Price will meet with each group during their allotted time to facilitate the planning process.
Each team will come up with a plan to better the district within their committee and present to the school board a way to make that plan reality.
