Mr. and Mrs. John Grote

John and Marie (Eickholt) Grote of Cloverdale celebrated 40 years of marriage on Sept. 28.
They celebrated with family and friends on Sept. 27.
They were married on that date in 1968 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Rev. Frommherz officiating.
They are the parents of five children, Tony (Tina) Grote of Fort Jennings, Eric Grote of Defiance, Jeff (Elaine) Grote of Maumee, Amy (Rick) Bergman of Minster and Jody Grote of Columbus. They also have nine grandchildren.
John is retired from the U.S. Postal Service and actively farms. Marie is employed at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Homes.
