Kathryn E. Porter, 92, of Delphos, died at 8:10 a.m. Monday at her daughter’s residence.
She was born July 30, 1916, in Findlay, to Robert and Grace (Barnt) Rinard.
On June 3, 1936, she married Robert Porter, who died on Oct. 8, 1989.
Survivors include son Edward Porter of Huntsville, Ala.; daughters Susan (George) Valiquette of Troy and Becky (Paul) Koesters of Celina; sister Betty Lou Hoverman of Largo, Fla.; sister-in-law Marcile Rinard of Van Wert; 12 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by son James Porter; and grandson Michael Porter.
Mrs. Porter retired from the Sears Appliance Center in 1979. She held memberships with Trinity United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Garden Club of Delphos. She enjoyed dancing, music and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Trinity United Methodist Church or State of the Heart Hospice of Mercer County.
