At the DCC

The ladies of the Delphos Country Club held an 18-hole scramble Tuesday, co-chaired by Alma Good and Carol Hellman.
The trio of Alice Ricker, Linda Boecker and Marge Morris were the winners in the first flight. Morris had the longest drive.
In the second flight was a tie between Hellman, Good and Betty Schroeder and Arlene Kortokrax, Aggie Swint and Mary L. Miller. Good was closest to the pin; Swint had the longest drive.
On Aug. 19, they held a regular round, with Swint and Jean Hilvers co-chairs.
Schroeder was low gross in the first flight and Morris low net. Schroeder was both closest to the pin and had the longest drive.
In the second flight, Good won the low gross, Swint the low net. Good had both the longest drive and putt; Hilvers was closest to the pin.
Morris and Mary Lou Miller had the least putts.
Captain D’s champions
The Captain D’s Men’s Senior Softball Team recently won both their Monday Night League (9-1) and the tournament to end 11-1.
This team has completed in the Lima-based league for 7 years and compiled a 75-9 mark. Members include Rick Miller, Denny Marsh, Jack Benton, Jake Bowers, Don Camper, Tom Hobensack, Dave Hoffman, Jim Honegger, Dewey Justice, Steve Mansfield, Doug Price, Dan Rostorfer, Brett Thatcher, Barry Saxton and Charlie Verhoff.
