Wildcats split NWC triad
DELPHOS — Jefferson’s golf team split a Northwest Conference 3-way meet Tuesday at the Delphos Country Club.
Crestview (2-0), with Jamin Rager shooting a 38, won with a 175. The Wildcats (1-1), with Austin Clarkson carding a 40, were second with 178. Ada (0-2) shot a 242, with Matt Gray’s 46 leading the way.
Jefferson is in the Kalida Wildcat Invitational today. Crestview is in the Lincolnview Invitational 10 a.m. Thursday.

Lancers win opener
LIMA — The Lincolnview boys golf team began its season in victorious fashion Tuesday afternoon in an NWC match hosted by Allen East at Colonial Golf Club outside of Lima.
The match, also involving Spencerville, was played under near-perfect conditions as the Lancers carded a team score of 181. Spencerville scored a 189 and Allen East a 195.
Medalist for the match was Allen East’s Michel Kersker who shot a 1-over par 37. Lincolnview was led by junior Drew Doner’s 43, while Taylor Hoehn carded a 44 and Pierce Wolters had a 45. Anthony Simpson rounded out the scoring for the Lancers with a 49.
Spencerville’s low score came from Trevor Crites, who shot a 42.
The Lincolnview boys return to action today at the Mercer County Elks Golf Course in a dual match with Ft. Recovery. Lincolnview’s first home match is Thursday, as they host the 8-team Lancer Invitational which begins at 9 a.m. at The Woods.
Spencerville hosts Ada and LCC 10 a.m. Thursday at The Oaks.
Lady ’Dawgs best Pirates
ELIDA — The Elida girls tennis team improved to 2-0 Tuesday by belting Bluffton (0-1) 4-1 at the Dennis Schwinnen Courts.
Victors for the host Bulldogs were: sophomore first singles Jessie Adkins over junior Kelsea Kiene 6-1, 6-2; senior second singles Jessica Stambaugh over junior Jessica Liska 1 and 2; the first doubles of senior Amy Sarno and sophomore Emily Fernandez over junior Trisha Bellman and soph Jess Hunter 0 and 0; and sophomore second doubles Caitie Kales and Kassidee Fletcher over soph Liz Diller and freshman Kristi Geiser 6-3, 6-1.
Freshman Ashlin Gable was the lone winner for the Pirates, edging senior Amanda Brickner at third singles 4 and 4.
Elida  is in the Napoleon Invitational starting at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Elida won both JV doubles matches: sophomore Jessica Foust and freshman Robin Klause over Amanda Solmonson and Katie McCracken 8-6; and sophomore India Bowsher and freshman Monica Tieu 8-4 over Alex Anderson and Stacy Michel.
Lady Raiders rout
South Adams
The  Wayne Trace girls golf team routed South Adams 187-222 in a dual meet Tuesday at Plesant Valley Golf Course.
