St. John’s Annex site of screenings
Residents living in and around the Delphos community can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke or heart attack.
Life Line Screening will be at the St. John the Evangelist Church - Annex in Delphos on Aug.18. Appointments will begin at 9 a.m.
Recommended baseline screenings include Stroke/Carotid Artery, Atrial Fibrillation, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and Peripheral Arterial Disease. The Carotid Artery screening uses ultrasound to identify blockages in the arteries in your neck, a leading cause of stroke. The Atrial Fibrillation screening checks for an irregular heart beat and the Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm screening looks for a ballooning of the largest artery in the body. Screening for Peripheral Arterial Disease checks for blockages in the arteries of the arms and legs, a condition that leaves the individual at 4-5 times higher risk of heart disease.
Four additional screenings can be added for a more comprehensive risk assessment.
For more information regarding the screenings or to schedule an appointment, call 1-800-643-6188. Pre-registration is required.
Pick any four screenings for $140. All eight screenings are only $199.
