Vincent Whitehead is the artist featured in July at First Federal Bank on Second Street. Some of his original drawings are for sale; however, some have been made into prints and are also available. Whitehead invites the public to view his work of the rural landmarks that folks may recognize from bygone days. Many of the structures have been torn down, such as the Elwer Barn, but he has captured the historical image forever in his detailed drawings. Whitehead has also branched out and done some portrait work recently. Canal Days Artfest coordinators Judy Grone and Anne Laman of Delphos worked with bank administrators to bring the ArtFest to the bank and lined up several artists for monthly exhibits. A local or area artist will have his or her artwork on display and for sale at the bank’s main office each month.
