Paul A. Druckemiller, 77, of Lima, died at 9:47 p.m. Saturday at his residence.
He was born Aug. 8, 1930, in Delphos, to Oris and Ruby (Zellers) Druckemiller.
Survivors include three sister, Juanita Lial Ringer of Van Wert, Mary Lou Buschor of Mendon and Wilma Elaine (Gary) McBride of Delphos; two brothers, Oris Junior (Marie) Druckemiller of Van Wert and Monte Dean (Jeanne) Druckemiller of Delphos; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Coy Druckemiller and Richard Dean Druckemiller; and a sister, Lois Arlu Tyler.
Mr. Druckemiller was in show business for 33 years as a pianist, comedian, master of ceremonies and entertainer. He also worked as a deputy bailiff at Lima Municipal Court. He served in the U.S. Air Force in special services as an entertainer in Battle Creek, Mich., for three years active duty. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Delphos, and was a member and volunteer for numerous civic organizations. He held picnics in his own back yard for kids in children’s homes and enjoyed entertaining for the Allen County Children’s Home for more than 40 years and did benefits and an annual Christmas show for the Allen Acres and Area Children’s Home from 1968-83. He enjoyed snowmobiling and boat outings and was taught to play piano by his mother, Ruby.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by the Delphos Veterans Council.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Trinity United Methodist Church.
