Rebecca Ann Perkins and Lt. Shaun Michael Miller were united in marriage on Sept 8 at The Messiah Lutheran Church in Keller, Texas.
The double ring ceremony was officiated by Rev. Glenn Huebel, with music by the Forte’ Strings Ensemble.
The celebration continued at the Ashton Depot, in Fort Worth, with a dinner reception and dance hosted by the bride’s parents.
The bride is the daughter of Lt. Col. and Mrs. John Perkins of Grapevine, Texas.
The groom is the son of Lt. Col. and Mrs. Randy Miller of Austin, Texas, and the grandson of Beatrice Miller of Delphos and the late Leo Miller.
She was attended by her sister as her maid of honor, Rachel Perkins of Grapevine.
Bridesmaids were Shannon Miller, sister of the groom, of Austin; Joanna Miller, sister-in-law of the groom, of Abilene, Texas; and friends of the bride, Magen Shearrer of Pleasanton, Texas, and Elizabeth Wetzel of Lawton, Okla.
The flower girl was Waverly Frisbie of Addison, Texas, cousin of the groom.
Capt. Ryan Miller, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Scott Stankey of Ventura, Calif., Tyler Frisbie of Addison, both cousins of the groom; and friends of the groom, Jake Baker, of Austin, Texas, and Daniel Wetzel of Lawton, Okla.
The bride’s brothers, Steven and Tobin Perkins of Grapevine, served as ushers.
The ring bearer was Levi Brandt of Southlake, Texas, cousin of the bride.
The bride attended Colleyville Heritage High School and attends Texas A&M University in College Station, where she will receive her degree in parks and recreation this fall.
The groom attended James Bowie High School in Austin and was a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station and received his degree in economics. He is a platoon commander in the U.S. Marine Corps and is stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
The couple resided in their beach side home in Emerald Isle, North Carolina until January. The groom was then deployed to Afghanistan where he will remain until November. When the couple reunites in November, they plan to honeymoon on the coast of Mexico.
