Louise A. Schmenk

Louise A. Schmenk, 87, of Leipsic, died at 2:35 a.m. Sunday at The Meadows of Ottawa-Glandorf, Glandorf.
She was born March 26, 1921, in Kalida, to Albert and Elizabeth (Erhart) Hark.
On Oct. 26, 1946, she married Victor B. Schmenk, who died July 20, 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Paul (Iris) Schmenk of Fostoria and James (Bonnie) Schmenk of Kalida; two daughter, Rachel (Jerry) Recker of Glandorf and Elizabeth (Robert) Youngpeter of Delphos; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilfred and Charles Hark; and two sisters, Mary Lammers and Irene Schumaker.
Mrs. Schmenk retired from Leipsic High School as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Leipsic, and its Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was also a member of the Leipsic Eagles Auxiliary.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Rev. George Wenzinger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic, where an Altar Rosary Society and CL of C services will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to donor’s choice.
