Wallenhorst, a member of the Fort Jennings Showmen 4-H Club, has been showing lambs during her entire six-year experience.
“It’s always been lambs; I like them,” she said.
Her first year of showing lambs attained her the Reserve Grand Champion Award but this is the first time she has reached the top goal of Grand Champion Market Lamb.
Wallenhorst, who will be a sophomore this fall at Fort Jennings High School, is the daughter of Tom and Alison Wallenhorst.
She keeps her lambs at her grandmother’s home because she has a farm.
“I’ve named the lambs in the past and gotten attached to them but this year I just didn’t have the time,” Wallenhorst said.
