Roach GM at WERT/WKSD

VAN WERT — After 32 1/2 years in the radio broadcast business, Dave Roach of Delphos has landed as general manager at WERT/WKSD in Van Wert and Paulding.
Roach, who started local radio station WDOH in 1972 as one of four owners with Tri-County Broadcasting, is excited about the next chapter in his career.
“There is a really good operation here in Van Wert and in Paulding,” Roach said Tuesday from his office in Van Wert “This is a really good base to build on. It reminds me of when we started WDOH in the ’70s.”
As general manager, Roach is already planning the upcoming fair seasons in Van Wert and Paulding counties and the fall sports season.
“There is so much more here that we can do,” Roach said. “We are at a really good launching point.”
Roach is also responsible for the day-to-day operations at both stations.
WERT can be found at 1220 AM and WKSD at 99.7 on the FM dial.
WDOH was sold to Maverick Media in 2005 and Roach was employed with Maverick for three years.
