Metzger on paid leave

DELPHOS — Delphos Streets Superintendent Dave Metzger has been put on paid administrative leave until further notice pending an investigation into allegations of potential misconduct, according to a letter in his personnel file obtained by the Delphos Herald.
The letter was dated April 25 with the leave effective immediately.
Metzger was hired by the city in September 1980 and he was promoted to streets superintendent on Aug. 1, 1998.
City officials had no comment and calls to Metzger were not returned.
