Perry E. Mitchell, 96, of rural Lima, died at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday at his daughter’s family’s farm following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 27, 1911, in Logan Township, Auglaize County, to William and Cora May (Hill) Mitchell.
On March 20, 1940, he married Mary McConnell, who survives.
Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. Monday in Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, the Rev. Mark Bayliff officiating. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery near Cridersville.
Friends may call for an hour prior to the service.
Preferred memorials are to Helping Hands Hospice in Lima or Union Chapel Missionary Church.
