Ottoville OKs contracts
OTTOVILLE — Ottoville School Board met Monday evening and issued contracts for the following personnel.
Teaching contracts were issued for Sara Imm, Elaine Schimmoeller, Brad Schomaeker, Chris Seibert and Renee Burgei.
One-year limited teacher extended-service contracts were issued to Warren Bowery, summer band; and Mark Knott for guidance and EMIS Coordinator.
Teacher supplemental contracts were issued to Susan Gertsen, assistant volleyball coach and junior class advisor; Kirt Martz, assistant athletic director; Kathy Thomas, senior class co-advisor; Jim Hoersten, assistant boys basketball coach; Brian Bennett, newsletter coordinator; Kim Birt, assistant band director; Warren Bowery, pep band and musical director; Jim Brown, golf coach; Anthony Castronova, sophomore class advisor; Nancy Kroeger, junior high science fair and Scholastic Bowl; Shelley Mumaw, student council advisor; Mark Odenweller, athletic director and freshman class advisor; Krista Schomaeker, high school science fair; Marlecia Smart, yearbook advisor; and Kathy Thomas, NHS advisor.
Non-teaching supplemental contracts were issued to Kay Ahten, technical theater director; Sara Owens, head volleyball coach; Jamie Bryan, eighth-grade basketball coach; Amy Beining, seventh-grade girls basketball coach; Ashley Basinger, volunteer junior high girls basketball coach; Renee Burgei, seventh-grade volleyball coach; Terry Bryne, seventh-grade boys basketball coach; Eric Gerker, boys head soccer coach; Dustin Markward, boys assistant soccer coach; Vaughn Horstman, co-assistant girls basketball coach; Robert Kaple, head cross-country coach; Tim Kimmet, girls assistant soccer coach; Adam Koester, boys junior varsity basketball coach; Tammy Koester, head cheerleader advisor; Kevin Krouskop, girls head soccer coach; Deb Lindeman, co-assistant girls basketball coach; Jeff Schimmoeller, girls junior varsity basketball coach; Jen Spitnale, eighth-grade volleyball coach; Ruth Wannemacher, co-senior class advisor; Craig Bryne, eighth-grade boys basketball coach; and Jim Rhodes, volunteer softball coach for the 2007-08 season.
A one-year supplemental contract was issued to Judy Looser for the 2008-09 school year as grants fiscal assistant.
Resignation was accepted from Tess Rieger as assistant cheerleader advisor. Heather Bowers was issued a one-year supplemental contract as assistant cheerleader advisor.
Motion was approved for American Sign Language student Laura Tumblin for an overnight field trip to the Ohio School for the Deaf in Columbus on April 24-25.
Approval was given for a contract between Rhodes State College and the local school system for the Dual Credit-Post Secondary Options Program.
The purchase of computer equipment at a cost of $35,316.92 was approved. The computers will be paid from funds through the SRSA Grant, REAP.
Upcoming schools events include Grandparents Day for elementary students today and Wednesday. High school prom will be April 26. Dedication of the Bob Kaple Track and Field Sports Complex will be held at 4:15 p.m. Friday.
