FFA Food for America

   Enjoying FFA Farm DayCheyanne Scirocco and her classmates at Franklin Elementary enjoy visiting with a horse at Heidelbaugh Sheep Farm on Peltier Road Thursday as part of the Delphos FFA Food for American program. FFA members plan a tour for local elementary students to teach them where their food comes from. Other points of interest on the tour included: Mox Nursery, Chief Supermarket, Hempfling’s Dairy Farm, Miller’s Beef Farm, Friedrich’s Swine Farm and Ken and Karen Elwer provided an antique tractor display. St. John’s and Landeck elementaries also participated. Students were treated to lunch at Stadium Park, where they heard talks on wildlife, hunting and farm safety.
