Paul E. King

Paul E. King, 96, of Delphos, died at 2:15 a.m. Monday at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
He was born April 20, 1911, in Delphos, to Edward and Elizabeth (Stallkamp) King.
On July 10, 1935, he married Silvera P. Schille, who preceded him in death on Dec. 24, 1988.
Survivors include sons Louis (Nancy) King of Lima and Kevin (Suzanne) King of Chagrin Falls; daughters Patricia (James) Bryan and Paulette (Walter) Honigford of Delphos; grandchildren Kathleen Bryan, Laura (Charles) Peters, Robin (Ronald) Caudill, Rodney (Vickie) Bryan; Christine (Tim) McConnahea; Richard (Vimin) Honigford, Nancy Dobner, Nadine (Paulo) Martins, Kelly McGibbon and Mike (Hilan) King, Mark King, Craig (Stephanie) King, Scott (Cathy) King and Ed (Lisa) King; four stepgrandchildren and 12 step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Katterheinrich, and a great-granddaughter.
Mr. King retired from Ford Motor Company, for which he worked as a shipping clerk for 22 years. He had also worked for Gramm Trailer Company, manufactured King’s Campholotion and worked for his father at the King and Stallkamp Drug Store as a child. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Shepherds of Christ, the Miraculous Medal Association, active in Boy Scouts, was a St. John’s High School graduate, enjoyed making home made wine, genealogy research and volunteering at the museum in the Delphos Public Library, loved to travel, take pictures and collect them.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. George Maramkandom officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a parish wake will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to St. John’s Parish Foundation or to donor’s choice.
