Optimists stuff 2,000 eggs for hunt
The Delphos Optimist Club and the junior clubs from Jefferson and St. John’s stuffed more than 2,000 plastic eggs this morning for its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday at Waterworks Park. In a race, St. John’s Junior Optimists won and received a check for $200 for its treasury. Jefferson received $150. Children ages 2-4; 5-7; and 8-9 will find eggs filled with candy and special slips of paper for prizes during the event Saturday. If there is snow on the ground, the hunt will be held at 1 p.m. March 29.
