Roland J. Ulrich

Roland J. Ulrich, 76, died Wednesday at home in Delphos.
He was born in Ottoville to William and Agnes (Eickholt) Ulrich.
Mr. Ulrich is survived by his wife, Jeanine Altman. They were married April 14, 1956 at the St. Johns Catholic Church in Delphos.
He was a member of the American Legion and a Veteran of the Korean War. He served as Lance Corporal for the Marine Corp from Oct. 22, 1951 to Oct. 21, 1959. He was an avid rabbit raiser for 65 years, won many awards and prizes. He was also very active with his children in 4-H.  Over his lifetime, Ulrich owned several businesses including local food establishments and pubs.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and John Ulrich; two sisters Toni (Earl) Osting and Diane (Roger) Horstman; three brothers, Paul Ulrich, John (Sharon) Ulrich and Arthur (Tracy) Ulrich.
Ulrich will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Memorial mass will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Mel Verhoff officiating. Burial will be at a later date
