Mary Catherine Closson, 89, of Delphos, died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 4, 1918, in Columbus Grove, to George and Lucinda (Johnson) Meeks.
She was married to George Albert Closson, who preceded her in death in 1986.
Survivors include sons Harold (Margie) Closson of Bluffton and Roger (Anna Jayne) and Michael (Gloria) Closson of Delphos; daughter Judy Ann (Michael) Parsons of Delphos; brother Benny Meeks of Delphos; daughter-in-law Charlene Closson; 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sons George Jr. and Jimmy Closson, sister Marie Miller, brothers George and Ivan Meeks and a great-grandchild.
Mrs. Closson worked for Myers Cleaners for 25 years, then as a pizza assembly worker for I&K before retiring and going to work for Westside Laundry in Delphos. She held membership with First Assembly of God and devoted her life to her family.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday with calling from 9 a.m. until service begins at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, the Rev. Dan Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
